Brzeće, February 17, 2021 Even before the gondola was put into operation, Brzeće was occasionally in the focus of the media, thanks to the ski results of Daša Dobrodolac and Mihajlo Miljković, from whom excellent placements in competitions are expected in the following period as well.

Daša Dobrodolac started skiing when she was three years old. She had her first competition at the age of six, and it started to get more serious in her ninth year of life, when she started skiing for the Ski Club “Rtanj” and went to the first preparations abroad. In the past period, she won numerous races in both slalom and giant slalom.

During the last ski season at the National Slalom Championship held on Kopaonik, she won 2nd place in the U18 category, while in the giant slalom race she was third behind Nevena Ignjatović and Zoja Grbović, which was 2nd place in her U18 category. At the FIS Eurobalkan Cup in giant slalom, she won first place in the U18 category.

Then, due to the general epidemiological situation in Europe, she did not travel to the planned races because they were held outside Serbia, and for the same reason, due to the situation, she was not preparing in the Alps this fall. She trained on Kopaonik, preparing for the competitions that await her at the end of February and during the month of March – the State Championship, then the races on Zlatibor, Stara Planina, Žabljak and Kolašin.

It is very possible that Daša will be the leader at the upcoming FIS Europe Cup for skiers, which will be held on Kopaonik from February 22 to 26.

Mihajlo Miljković is a young star of skiing in Serbia and he has yet to shine with full splendor. He has been skiing since he was a child, continuing in the footsteps of his father Stefan, who was once the champion of Serbia in skiing.

Mihajlo showed his magnificent skiing talent during 2019, when he won the first place in the U8 giant slalom race at the Serbian Alpine Skiing Championship for the FIS and children’s categories.

In the same ski season, he achieved 5th place at the Little Fox Race in Mariborsko Pohorje in extremely strong competition, won a silver medal at the Trofeo Biberon in Italy, a silver medal on Bjelasnica, a gold medal in Cerkno – Slovenia, a gold medal in Jahorina and a bronze medal in Kranjska Gora. The following season, he won five gold, one silver and 2 bronze medals, which was a huge success because Mihajlo moved from the U8 category to the higher U10 category that season, where he was one of the youngest competitors.

This ski season, Mihajlo is competing for the Red Star Ski Club, and he has won two gold, two silver and two bronze medals in very strong competition.

Daša Dobrodolac and Mihajlo Miljković will surely make everyone happy with their results and medals in the next period, but we need to support them with the hope that more talented skiers from this area will appear.
