Competitors of the Bela Reka Ski Club from Brzeće finished the competitive 2022/2023 season with 82 won medals, announcing even more successful and top results in the future.

They showed that they were dominant last season at the National Championship, which was held on March 18 at the Crna duboka track on Kopaonik. Namely, in their categories, the national champions are children from Brus and Brzeće: Mila Miljković, Racko Kostić, Ksenija Kostić and Mihajlo Miljković.

If we summarize the entire competitive season, it is more than successful.

Lazar Smiljanić (silver) and Mihajlo Miljković (bronze on the first day of competition, silver on the second) won the first medals at the Zagreb Open Championship in the Austrian ski resort Weinebene.

Ski club Bela Reka skiers from Austria go to Krvavec, where at the Pokal, the youngest competitor Racko Kostić won a gold medal in the category of boys U8, while in the categories of girls and boys U12, Ksenija Kostić and Mihajlo Miljković won silver and bronze medals, respectively.

After Krvavec and a shorter preparation period, there followed a big children’s competition in Italy (Forni di Sopra ski resort) Trofeo Biberon. They stood on the line with the best from all over Europe and showed that they can handle these kinds of challenges. Racko Kostić once again shows that he is dominant in the U8 category, and Mihajlo Miljković wins the silver medal that he won at the same place as a seven-year-old.

Returning from Bjelašnica and the Born2ski competition with diplomas and medals are – Racko Kostić (gold), Anastasia Miljković (gold), Višnja Kobiljski (silver), Lana Lukač (silver) are returning from Bjelašnica and the Born2ski competition with diplomas and medals.

In the continuation of the season, on Kopaonik, when the weather conditions allowed, Alpine Cups and regional races organized by local clubs were held. After every race, there were kids from SK Bela Reka on the podium.

Before the National Championship, in March, the ski club Bela Reka organized for the first time a regional race, the Mountain Cup, and gathered 135 competitors from Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia and Bulgaria. The plan is to make this competition traditional and to popularize not only skiing but also the tourist region. On that day, part of the prizes went to:

  • U8 girls: 1. Mila Miljković, 2. Višnja Kobiljski, 3. Danka Marjanović
  • U8 boys: 1. Racko Kostić
  • U12 girls: 1. Ksenija Kostić
  • U12 boys: 1. Mihajlo Miljković 2. Lazar Smiljanić

The next day, these tireless kids drove excellently again at the National Championship:

The season wasn’t over even then. At the very beginning, the SK Bela Reka calendar included the largest children’s competition Kids Trophy in Zauchensee (Austria). Racko Kostić also won a medal there (silver), while Mihajlo Miljković was 8th in his category for a nice end to the season and as an announcement of new successes of these great kids!

For SK Bela Reka Brzeće, children from Brus – Racko Kostić, Mila Miljković, Ksenija Kostić, Mihajlo Miljković, from Belgrade – Vuk Krečković, Marko Tasić, Lana Lukač, Danka Marjanović, Anastasia Miljković, from Novi Sad – Višnja Kobiljski, Katarina Kobiljski , Nikola Kobiljski and from Zlatibor – Lazar Smiljanić.

For such results, in addition to the talent, will and persistence these children have, their great sacrifices, absenteeism from classes and the support of their parents, a dedicated and professional team consisting of: club president Stefan Miljković, coaches Mihajlo Đorđević, Strahinja Milojević and Damjan Vesović is necessary.

Certainly, in the coming period, we can expect more great results and medals from the competitors of SK Bela Reka, of course, top and world successes with adequate support.
